Miles can break you down or make you stronger. Sometimes we feel overwhelmed with the obstacles we face everyday. We feel like we take a step forward just to fall 2 steps back. The way I see it, there’s no way we fall that far back! We learned something from the step forward and we stumbled while trying to take the next step. I don’t know how, but my sister falls while running UP the stairs all the time. It’s funny because you can hear her stumble and pout for a second when it happens…. Then, before anyone can get up to help her….. “I’m OK!” She yells, as she continues to run up the stairs to her room. Everyone falls, some fall harder than others, but we can’t let that stop us from getting better.
Have you ever noticed the more you do something, the easier it becomes. Practice doesn’t make perfect, it makes progress. Never become satisfied or complacent with the progress you made. Yeah you might have gotten better at the moment, but don’t stop there. Many times we become satisfied with our progress and stop striving for perfection. Things become easier in life so we slowly let our guard down, not thinking about all the hardship we just faced. Next thing you know, you’re back to square one asking how did I let this happen again. Life doesn’t get better by chance, it gets better when we change.
A little change can make a BIG difference in your life. One change leads to another. Before you know it you’ve changed in a way you never thought you would. It’s like a chain reaction, things will begin to change without you even realizing it. Whether it is changing the way you look at things or changing something in your daily routine. Take a second to really think about how you can do something just a little different today… I know I need to pray more, I am changing my morning routine by adding at least one minute of 1 on 1. I know it doesn’t seem like much, but hey…. I’m getting better every day.
